The Faculty began when two first-year Milwaukee High School of the Arts teachers met. They both learned early on how varied their musical influences were and wanted to formulate a band that would be able to perform and write a myriad of different songs while remaining true to an artistic vision that would be the glue to the many disparate parts.
Rather than follow the regular format for these things, it was decided that they should go into the studio before playing any live performances. The Faculty EP was recorded at the Tannery Studio in the summer and fall of 2009
Recording was also an oppourtunity to bring in the expertise of drummer Wes Erickson. The group has now become a four-piece with Dan Causier on Bass. The live show has presented unique opportunities to improve and expand upon the material and is ready to rock yours socks off.
